060. Tithe

I consider this goal complete when: I have been consistently tithing 10% of my monthly income. Consistently meaning I’ve been doing it for several months. Several being two or three.

Why this goal is on my list: I feel it’s important that, if I keep going to my church, I support them financially. It’s also kinda a symbol of my commitment to my religion, that money isn’t more important.

Additional notes: This goal will start once I actually have an income to tithe.

037. Create a budget

I consider this goal complete when: I have created a budget for myself detailing my income and expenses.

I consider this goal complete when: I have gone thirty days without spending any money (besides a few necessities that I will have planned out beforehand).

Why this goal is on my list: Mostly just a challenge to see if I can do it. To make myself more aware of the things I urge myself to spend money on. To see if I can live without those things for a month.

Additional notes: I have planned this for April. This is the link to the challenge

027. Set up a Christmas fund jar

I consider this goal complete when: I have a jar set up specifically for saving money for Christmas, and I deposit money into it regularly.

Why this goal is on my list: I always seem to go broke around Christmas as I’m buying everyone’s gifts, and it makes sense to, throughout the year, set aside some dollars in order to make all that gift buying seem not as break-the-bank-able. You know?

Additional notes: Maybe in the region of $25 a month?

I consider this goal complete when: At the end of 1001 days, I have 33x amount of dollars saved because of this goal. Exact x amount to be determined.

Why this goal is on my list: To help me keep track of what I’m doing with my money.

Additional notes: Still have to find a steady income/job, and then I can decide how much I want to save each month.
